Freedom Yoga in the Northwoods

1st Annual Summer Yoga Retreat

The Northernaire Resort

Three Lakes, Wisconsin

August 21—24, 2025

Reclaim your freedom and embrace all that summer has to offer with four days of yoga, fun in the sun, and soul-nourishing relaxation in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.

Throughout this revitalizing retreat, you wil learn to balance grounding with enlightening, doing with undoing, relaxing with energizing, and centering with expanding.

Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Northwoods, with its gorgous pine trees and the largest chain of freshwater lakes in the world, you’ll deepen your yoga practice with invigorating classes in the morning and gentle practices each evening. With my signature precise and enlightning style of teaching, together we will explore the benefits of yoga that are both simple and profound. We will use meditation, essential breath work, creative pose variations, joy, and indiscriminate curiosity to experience our natural state of peace, and ultimately, find freedom.

Then during the day, you’re invited to explore your adventurous side with optionsal exursions to go stand-up paddleboarding, to cruise the gorgeous chain of lakes by boat, to hike the Sam Campbell Memorial Trail, or to set off on a bike ride from Three Lakes to Eagle River. You’re sure to find your blance breathing in the fresh air, stargazing, and watching for the northern lights. (There may even be a chance to roast marshmallows by the fire too!)

I hope you’ll join me for the first annual Freedom Yoga in the Northwoods Summer Retreat. In addition to the stunning beauty of high summer in Wisconsin, you will enjoy the benefits of being a part of an intimate group that allows me to lavish you with wonderfully individualized attention during our time together. Click HERE to visit the Northernaire Resort online to see the gorgeous property where you may be living for four days. The Northernaire Resort has a rich and noteworthy history. Originally opened in 1948 and called the “Waldorf of the Wilderness,” the Northernaire Resort was designed by Cy WIlliams and built by his brother Carl Marty. The current updated Northernaire honors the original resort with its lovely and luxurious lakeside condos, cabins, and rentals. Located on Deer Lake and Big Stone Lake, the Northernaire features tennis courts, a basketball court, and indoor swimming pool, and an outdoor firepit and grills, and alongside the largest outdoor spa in the Wisconsin. Big Stone Golf is situated adjacent to the resort on Big Stone Lake and bordered by Hwy 32.

Three Lakes, Wisconsin, boasts a gorgeous chain of 28 interconneced lakes, which makes it the largest chain of freshwater lakes in the world. People travel in from all over the world during the summer to enjoy lake life and all of the best warm weather activities the area has to offer, such as boating, waterskiing, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, and of course hiking and camping. During the winter months, Three Lakes then becomes a popular destination for snowmobilers and ice fishing.

Three Lakes is on the western edge of the spectacular 650,000-acre Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest in Wisconsin. You may choos to fly up north to Rhinelander, Wausau, or Milwaukee or enjoy a scenic drive to Three Lakes (approximately a five-hour drive from Chicago).

Dining and food options in Three Lakes includes 32 South Bar & Grill, Mugs and Company, Sunset Grill, The Black Forest, Pi Pizza, Pine Isle Lodge, Sorge’s Daybreak Diner, and Three Lakes Town Market. The dining options in Eagle River include Toad in the Hole, Williams's Pine Gables Supper Club, Honey Bear, Chef Rene’s at Eagle River Inn, The Craftsman American Tavern, Friendship House Family Restaurant, and Mary Kate’s Wine Bar. Many accomodation options will offer a kitchenette for your convenience.

My favorite grocery store is The Golden Harvest in Rhinelander, and the best farm stand is Evergood Farm (on County A, between Rhinelander and Three Lakes).
